my 2004 pontica vibe steering wheel vibrates or shakes when going 70 mph or above. It's not the tires or wheels, and suggestions? I think it may have to do with the brakes. I have a 2001 Pontiac bonneville I have checked the struts and ball joints and cv joints and can't seem to find out why the front of the car vibrates when I'm turning to the right and when the front shocks compress going down the highway. And the I own a 2002 Pontiac Firebird convertible that I bought used in 2006 with less than 30,000 miles on it and in excellent condition inside and out.As of todays date it has less than 89,000 miles on it. I've had to replace the brake pads on the rear, Extremely hard downshifts when slowing down to stop. so severe the tires slid as you come to a stop. my rear tires wear out every 5000 miles.. i'm on my 3rd set in 1 year and 3 months. Anybody else had this problem? Marie
