2006 Malibu Maxx: The mechanism for the liftgate clicks open repeatedly, without the key in the ignition and the batteries removed from the remotes.  The only thing that stops it from opening is to lock the doors. I unhooked the wire from the mechanism, and reattached it but that did not help. Would a fuse problem cause this issue?

Have them check the bushings. They may have spurs in it.
